First appointment?
You will be sent a short online form asking:
- What symptoms you’re experiencing
- How long you’ve had them
- What you hope to get from your session
This helps your clinician prepare, so more of your appointment is focused on assessment and treatment.
Helpful reminders
To make things easy, you’ll receive:
- An email reminder 5 days before your appointment
- A text reminder 1 day before your appointment
Your first session is designed to help you feel comfortable, understood and informed.
What happens:
A warm welcome
Your clinician will introduce themselves and explain the session clearly and calmly.
Understanding your story
We start with a private conversation about your symptoms, lifestyle, goals and any concerns you may have.
Assessment
Depending on your reason for attending, your clinician may look at:
- Strength, movement and posture
- Pelvic floor function (external or internal – always optional)
- Breathing and core control
- Joint or muscle movement patterns
You are always in control of your session, and everything is explained in clear, accessible language.
Your personalised plan
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of:
- What is contributing to your symptoms
- What we can do to help
- Exercises or strategies to begin straight away
Your follow‑up sessions are tailored to your progress and goals.
Expect your clinician to:
- Review how you’ve been feeling since your last session
- Build on your exercise plan
- Adjust techniques as needed
- Provide reassurance, guidance and clarity
- Support you with motivation and long‑term planning
Treatment may include (dependent on condition):
- Strengthening or mobility exercises
- Pelvic floor training
- Release and relaxation techniques
- Manual therapy
- Biofeedback, ultrasound or EMS guidance where appropriate
Most people notice meaningful improvement within 3–6 sessions, though long‑standing or complex symptoms may require a longer treatment plan.
Recovery continues outside the clinic.
You may be given:
- Simple, manageable exercises
- Daily strategies to support progress
- Tips for activity, movement, or self‑care
- Guidance tailored to your lifestyle, home environment or work demands
Our goal is to give you practical tools that make a real difference to your day‑to‑day life.
We’ll review your goals and progress together.
You may be offered:
- A maintenance plan
- Advice for returning to sport, work or daily activities
- Guidance on preventing symptoms from returning
- Optional check‑ins if you feel you need ongoing support
wellbeing that works is built around long‑term recovery and confidence, not quick fixes.
Life happens and we’re here to help. If you need to change your appointment, simply contact us by phone and we’ll happily support you.
24-hour notice: To cancel or reschedule an appointment or class, you must provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled start time.
Late cancellations: If you cancel or change a booking with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if you fail to attend for any reason, the cancellation fee will be the full amount of the booking. No refund will be provided in these circumstances.
From your first message to your final session, we want you to feel:
- Heard
- Supported
- Informed
- Confident
Our clinicians follow a supportive, person-centred approach that helps people feel safe discussing even the most sensitive symptoms.
